The following taxicab rates are authorized by the Board of Taxicab Commissioners, effective Aug. 14, 008:

• $2.85 - First 1/9th of a mile
• $.30 - For each additional 1/9th of a mile (totals $2.70 per mile)
• $.30 - For each 30-second period spent waiting (totals $29.19 per hour)
• $2.50 - Surcharge for all trips originating at LAX
• $15.00 - Minimum fare for trips originating at LAX (in addition to the $2.50 surcharge

Please note: All passengers ride for the price of one. There is no authorized fare set forth by the Board of Taxicab Commissioners for trips between LAX and Hollywood.
